On Friday 15th January, Knox & Devlin Veterinary Surgeons will be joining forces with Cheshire Farm Vets to provide all your farm services and medicines. Cheshire Farm Vets are part of CVS (UK) Limited, the same as Knox & Devlin, they are a dedicated farm animal practice with an established team of experienced farm vets and we are sure that they can provide an excellent standard of care to you and your farm businesses.
For many years Knox & Devlin has prided itself on being a mixed practice that deal with every eventuality for all our clients. However, over the past few years there has been a dramatic change in the veterinary profession with vets increasingly wanting to specialise in one species and the appetite for mixed practice work has diminished.
This has left us in a situation where we cannot recruit experienced and capable vets to continue to provide the level of care to all our clients that we wish to do. This is particularly an issue when it comes to providing cover for your farms at nights and weekends, where we are finding it impossible to employ enough experienced vets to continue this service.
By joining forces with Cheshire Farm Vets, it means we can always provide you with an experienced farm vet for all your visits day or night, as well as your TB Tests and advice over the phone. Rest assured all the prices you pay will be the same or in many cases cheaper than you are currently charged.
You will continue to be able to collect your medicines from the Knox & Devlin premises in Whaley Bridge.
From the Friday 15th January you will be set up with a farm account with Cheshire Farm Vets and you will continue to have a small animal account at Knox & Devlin. From that point if you need to organise a visit or TB Test, or order medicines you should contact Rachael Johnson or Sarah-Jane Hulme on the Cheshire Farm Vets number of 01270 310010.
They will arrange your visit or organise for your medicines to be made up, ready for you to collect at either the Knox & Devlin surgery in Whaley Bridge or the Cheshire Farm Vets office in Winterley, near Sandbach.
The entire team at Knox & Devlin would very much like to thank you for your custom and friendship over the years, we really hope that we will continue to see you when you call in to collect your medicines.
After this change Knox & Devlin will operate as a small animal practice, but also act as a medicine dispensary, sample drop off point and satellite office for the Cheshire Farm Vets team.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to get in contact with us.
