Head Nurse
Emma, our head nurse has been nursing for many years, having worked at another local practice before joining Knox and Devlin in 2002. She qualified from Myerscough College in 2001 as a Registered Veterinary Nurse. She especially likes farm animal visits and diabetic care and keeping vets under control.


Becky Barwick RVN
Registered Veterinary Nurse
Becky joined Knox and Devlin in 2014 and qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2017. Her main interests are emergency care and in the future hopes to become a clinical coach training other nurses.
In her spare time, she enjoys riding her horse Bella and walking her dog Izzie.

Sarah Critchlow RVN
Registered Veterinary Nurse
Sarah joined the team in June 2015 as a receptionist and started training as a nurse a few months later. She qualified as a registered veterinary nurse in 2020. Her main interests at work are caring for day patients and preparing for exams and assignments.
In her spare time she enjoys catching up with friends and spending time with her dog and two Guinea pigs.

Olivia Duffy RVN
Registered Veterinary Nurse
Olivia has worked at Knox and Devlin since 2004. She started out as a member of the reception team for two years and then became the first student veterinary nurse to train with us. Olivia qualified as a registered veterinary nurse in 2008 and she currently works part-time.
Olivia has two small children and two cats, these take up most of her spare time.

Rachel Sutherland RVN
Registered Veterinary Nurse
Rachel joined the practice in 2012 and qualified in 2009. Rachel has worked in various places, her favourite being Australia. Rachel enjoys assisting with the large animal work, in particular the equine visits.
Outside of work Rachel enjoys socialising with friends, horse riding and travelling.

Holly Newell-Mann
Student Veterinary Nurse
Holly initially joined us as a Veterinary care Assistant in July 2018. Holly enjoyed working with animals at the vets, so she decided to train to become a veterinary nurse. Once Holly has passed all of her examinations she will become an officially recognised Registered Veterinary Nurse.
